It trades in unpolished precious diamonds and manufactures polished diamonds and expected to arrange services for importing and exporting precious diamonds alongwith banking and insurance. Currently precious diamonds are polished in Surat and transacted at India's diamond exchange Bharat Diamond Bourse. The diamond jewellery industry handles maufacturing, importing and exporting. Large number of rough diamonds are being cut and polished in Surat, the leading Belgium cut diamond processing centre. Most precious Belgium cut diamond companies are located in Mumbai since Mumbai is the Belgium cut diamond hub and India's financial capital with easy connectivity to air and financial markets. Belgium cut diamond traders have shown interest in moving to Surat to reduce overheads such as of Belgium cut diamond processing cost, transportation, certification, insurance, rental.
